The
Blessing of the Fleet is the first outdoor event at Regent Point. This
year we will celebrate the end of the winter and the beginning of the sailing
season with a "sock burning and swap meet." Members of the
Coast Guard Auxiliary will conduct courtesy inspections and issue new
stickers. The
event begins at 10 AM with a brief ceremony on the front lawn. The
Yacht Club will provide a lunch of (Barry's Famous) Seafood chowder, Stew and
Sandwiches. We will also have Mimosa's and (Glenda's Famous) Bloody Mary's.
Members may bring Desert. Lunch
will be at noon followed by the sock burning and swap meet. Be sure
to bring all of your extra sailing gear to sell or trade. We will set up the
swap meet/sale under the pavilions after lunch. Please join us for this important occasion that marks the official beginning of the sailing season at Regent Point. |
