Come join us for this year's Starburst Raftup. There will be a captains' meeting at 10:00 Saturday, September 20th in the pavilion. We generally try to have four of the larger boats for anchor boats in place in the East Branch of the Corrotoman around 2:00, and everybody begins to fill in after that. We would like everyone to be in place by 4:00, whereupon the festivities will begin. Bring a simple appetizer to leave in your cockpit, and then visit all the way around the raft to meet and greet everyone and tour their boats. Many brave souls swim, too, depending of course on the presence of nettles. We'll break up between 7 and 8, and pull off to anchor alone or in smaller rafts. The whole thing is a lot of fun, and the more so as the number of boats increases.
